Gods & Goddesses (Part I)

Nektar, Athena, and Apollo.

Nektar is a mysterious feline goddess in the forests east of Greece who mediates acts of kindness, the home, and perfumes. However, Athena does not recognize them, and suspects they are simply a powerful, deluded nymph. It would explain why only one human on Earth believes in Nektar's existence--a little girl who offers paper cranes to the goddess, everyday. Nektar was so moved by the girl's generosity that She inevitably traded the once blind child her left eye. Now, both goddess and girl have one hazel eye and one red cat's eye.

Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom and war strategy. She is a master of the Strings of Fate and is one of very few who can perceive them in full. A mortal's strings shine silvery or blue, while an immortal's unbreakable strings are a golden hue. When threatened, Athena can weave Strings of Fate around a spear to create a "thunderbolt," and when those strings are from an immortal's own, the effect can shatter space and time, itself.

Satan Apollo, formerly the Greek god of the Sun, music, and keeper of the oracles, now rules what remains of the underworld after killing Lucifer. When Calvera conquered the Heavens, Tartarus was converted into what would later become Hell and housed any souls who defied his edicts. As such, the surviving gods, including Apollo, were sent here and made to endure merciless degradation. Apollo inevitably led a rebellion, retook Tartarus, and currently presides over Hell's throne with a far more welcoming appeal. However, those who dare remain loyal to Calvera when sent to Hell's door for "blasphemy" may receive a less than warm welcome. Apollo just might snatch your eyes... as a delicious snack.
